THE STEEL CITY SOUND

Originating in Pittsburgh PA, Norside is made up of guitarist Glenn Strother, organist Skip Sanders, and drummer Steve Ippolito. Together they have a sound and feel that is rooted in the tradition of the organ trio yet floats between various styles from jazz, to soul, to rock. Fans have often defined their sound as “Rust Belt Funk”, a phrase that gives homage to their Western PA roots. Their recent debut album, 'Mean Streets', features a captivating mix of original compositions that highlights the depth and variety of sound the trio can put forth. Norside's virtuosic musicianship shines through on every track, showcasing their deep love for the music and their commitment to pushing its boundaries.
